One of the first things many TechDisc users ask when they see their throw metrics is "Is that good?" And we're excited to begin tackling that question with data! The big release for this month is a feature inside your throw database at www.TechDisc.com/Throws that calculates a "Functional Speed" for your current dataset of throws and then compares that against thousands of other TechDisc users with millions of throws. If you're a high-speed but low-spin player you can finally see exactly where you stand across all the metrics.
This feature is designed to work without requiring any filtering or tagging, just load in all your throws and you should see a Functional Speed that is representative of your comfortable throw speed on the course. You always have the flexibility to user filters and tags to load in specific groups of throws to see if your "Standstill" tagged throws perform better than your "X-Step" throws, for example. Let us know all the other ways you would like to slice and dice the data!
