#2 Parc des Familles Hole 14

#2 Parc des Familles Hole 14

Parc des Familles is the rare case of an almost brand new course design being features on the Pro Tour for its debut. Designed by John Houck the course features incredible cypress trees and natural beauty, but barely 20 ft of elevation across the entire property. Houck tried to force players to make golf decisions on each hole, and hole 14 is a perfect example of that.

The unique design forces tee shots through a narrow tunnel for 350 ft before the man-made pond blocks the comfortable landing zone. In Talking with Houck for this episode of Flight Plan he explained that players had the option to lay up short of 350' and work towards a par, blast a driver 500' over the pond but deal with tricky footing for the 2nd shot, or carefully control late-flip on a driver to cross the pond over the right side to a flat landing zone.
